Motorcycle Plug & Play Data Logging Kit

This plug & play kit with the Solo 2 DL gives you the ultimate track day experience. It includes the Solo 2 DL, 2 suspension potentiometers, an analogue CAN converter (ACC), a brake pressure sensor and a motorcycle-specific plug & play cable.

Plug & Play Compatibility

Building on the features of the Aim Solo 2 model, the Solo 2 DL motorcycle plug & play kit connects directly to your motorcycle's ECU to record vital engine data, without the need for complex wiring. Please refer to the user guide on how to connect the ECU cable to your motorcycle.

The plug & play cable currently fits the following bike models:

Please Note: For these models, Aim recommends not to remove the stock dash. Doing so will disable some of the motorcycle's functions or safety controls.

Predictive, Theoretical & Delta Times 

The Solo 2 DL’s GPS technology provides better reliability from the predictive lap timing function, so you can see in real time how your current lap compares to your best lap. It also features a theoretical lap timing mode which pieces together your overall best sector times to provide an optimal lap time that could be achieved. Timing information can also be shown in a delta format which gives a representation of how much quicker or slower you are compared to your best lap.

Advanced Display, Track Recognition & Easy Connection 

The Solo 2 DL motorcycle lap timer has a sharp, high-contrast display which helps riders easily identify the data displayed on screen, as well as 8 different backlight colours.  

Thousands of pre-loaded worldwide track maps are available, the motorcycle lap timer automatically recognises your position on the track as soon as it's switched on. Once you start to ride, it automatically recognises the start line coordinates of the track and starts sampling lap times every time you ride past. The Solo 2 DL also allows you to create a new temporary or permanent track layout. Even if there is no track already, the device will create one for you. 

Sample your data, including RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), oil, air, water temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear and lambda value (air/fuel).  

Inertial Platform  

The Solo 2 DL calculates, displays, and records lap times, sector times, position & vehicle speed, with a sampling rate of up to 25Hz, and 3D acceleration & gyro. This allows you to see your exact racing line, compare it to optimal lines for faster lap times, track the motorcycle's movements and provide detailed data on acceleration, braking, and cornering forces.

Powerful Combination

The kit comes with a variety of accessories to improve your motorbike setup:

  • Solo 2 DL: A data logging lap timer that handles an ECU input with a CAN expansion port that you can connect a SmartyCam to.
  • Bike Plug & Play Cable: The kit comes with a specific cable to connect the Solo 2 DL to the bike model that you have selected to relay all vital ECU information.
  • Brake Pressure Sensor: Brake pressure sensors are used to measure how much force is applied by the rider to the brake. When combined with suspension potentiometers, you can get a greater understanding of your bike setup.
  • Suspension Potentiometer: Measures the travel of the suspension forks on your motorbike to understand your suspension setup.
  • ACC (Analogue CAN Converter): Adds four freely configurable analogue/digital channels without occupying or modifying the existing system channels.
