The bracket is made from lightweight aerospace grade aluminium.  For strength and lightness.  The air duct is fiberglass and made slightly bigger than stock to allow the fairing hole to also be made bigger for better ram air flow.

This is the bracket many people use when converting a Street Triple 765 into a Daytona race bike.  Note clock bracket will need an air intake usually supplied by the bodywork manufacturer.
